I have a dragon 3 that's burns up glow plugs like crazy. Has 4 gallons on it. Have ran 30 percent always, head shims were moved to .2 as informed by friend. Moved them back to stock, didn't help, new rod from friend, didn't help. Temps are usually around 230. Anything else that could cause this?
The first, please check your engine have compression or not,if it doesn’t have any compression the engine will be happened same situation as you had faced now.
If the engine still has compression, please clean inside of the engine to make sure don’t have any tiny dust or metal chips came into the inside.
Then please check the top of piston had any scratch on it or not?
If had scratches, please use the ultra fine abrasive paper No.800 to scrape out these scratches and clean well then try to run your engine to see can run well again or not.
